Mini Dutch Oven Mixed Berry Fruit Crisp
I saw these adorable dutch ovens and knew I had to buy them. Seriously, how could I say “no” to something so cute? I suddenly became one with the dutch oven.
All at once, a plethora of ideas and recipes flooded my brain. I grabbed the closest things I could write with (parchment paper and a purple crayon). My imagination danced with endless possibilities. Once I wrote down every recipe I wanted cram into these cute little pots, I had no idea where to actually begin. My head was spinning, the kids were yelling, my computer was almost out of juice and my crayon was on the verge of breaking.
Once I came down from my dutch oven high, I was able to settle on my first recipe. A berry fruit crisp. You can’t go wrong with a fruit crisp. This dessert turned out way better than I imagined (that sounds really bad) but having never used these adorable little pots, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect.
Not to toot my own horn (toot, toot) BUT they were super delicious! These pots continue to grow in my heart and I can’t wait to revisit my scraps of parchment paper and my purple crayon for more joyful inspiration.
