My name is Jen and I started my vegan journey over ten years ago. My sister introduced me to two movies- Forks Over Knives and The Last Heart Attack with Bill Clinton and CNN correspondent Sanjay Gupta MD. After watching both movies back to back, I was hooked.
I remember arming myself with a list of foods and heading straight to Whole Foods. I had no idea at the time what I was doing or where my journey would take me. I just knew deep down, that eating a vegan diet was the best thing for my body. I have since expanded my culinary knowledge and my basic understanding of a plant based/vegan diet.
I do my best everyday to eat food that will fuel my body. I no longer strive for “eating perfection.” I have come to realize for me at least, that eating perfect everyday is unrealistic.
There are days where I eat very well and days when I may indulge and have a vegan cupcake. It’s okay, I do my best. I strive to have the veggie days outweigh the vegan cupcake days. For me, it’s all about balance.
I created this blog to share recipes and living a vegan lifestyle that is good for the body and soul. Here, you can find a variety of recipes, including vegan, plant-based, and gluten-free options.
